20/11/2009 - Abuja, Nigeria - Contract Award: 3 opti-MET LLWAS Systems for NIMET
MTECH has been awarded a contract to supply three opti-MET LLWAS systems to the Nigerian Meteorological Department for deployment into the countries main international airports. The full contract value is in excess of 3.0 Million USD and was awarded the consortium of MTECH in partnership with a Nigerian prime contractor. Project delivery is scheduled for 2010.
25/10/2009 - Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea - Contract Award: FAA-III specification AWOS System
MTECH has been awarded a contract to supply an FAA-III specification AWOS system into the highlands of PNG. As visibility conditions are of critical concern in the highlands the customer required the most accurate and reliable measurement of both cloud height, visibility and present weather. The MTECH manufactured system delivers on all these key requirements through the usage of the 8200-CHS ceilometer and particularly the 5000-200-EMOR Transmissometer. Fast delivery is a further customer requirement. MTECH has responded positively to this challenge with delivery scheduled for January 2010.
14/09/2009 - Sydney, Australia - Contract award: 78 ATC Data Recorder Servers & 54 Playback PC's
MTECH has been awarded a contract to integrate and supply 78 digital voice and radar data recorder servers for delivery into 28 control towers around Australia in conjunction with Ultra Electronics-Audiosoft, UK. In addition MTECH will supply 54 playback workstations for the review of ATC communications and radar recordings. The installations will cover every major domestic and international airport in the country.

MTECH is proud to announce that it has joined with the HMEI. The Association of Hydro-Meteorological Equipment Industry (HMEI) promotes the views of the private industry providers of products and services in the meteorological, hydrological, environmental and related fields. The Association is fully accredited to the WMO and other UN organizations and actively facilitates interaction and communication between its members and a broad range of international and national organizations, both governmental and private, for the mutual benefit of all parties. 18/06/2009 - MTECH Systems joins the Albatross ATM Open Source Community
MTECH has joined the Albatross ATM open source community in an advisory role with the goal of furthering the integration of aviation weather data into advanced flight data display systems. The first project in a series is a flexible ATC radar display solution. This is planned to be followed by Open Source Flight Data Processing and Radar Tracker software. 10/06/2009 - Codename "Alto" - Technology enhancements to the 8200-CHS ceilometer
MTECH has released details of its enhanced performance 8200-CHS Ceilometer. This set of enhancements has been codenamed "Alto" and results from consultation with scientists working in the area of planetary boundary layer research in Australia and the USA. MTECH Systems Pty Ltd has received an aditional order for 4 AWOS systems from an international customer. This is a follow on from an order for 3 supplied in early 2009, this will bring to 14 the total number of AWOS supplied to this major client.

MTECH Systems Pty Ltd has received an order for 3 AWOS systems from an international customer. This is a follow on from an order for 5 supplied in early 2008 and two units in 2007. This will bring to 10 the total number of AWOS supplied to this major client.
